I've used many different tinting films over the years and this is the best one yet. A lot of the films out there are cheap and that's appealing! I get that. Why spend £30 on tinting film if you can get it for far less? Well, the reason is simply... You get what you pay for. I've used cheap tint before and had I known the more expensive stuff would be so far above and beyond - I'd have bought the premium stuff long ago. Cheap tint is thin, difficult to work with, easily creased and doesn't shrink very effectively. Then (if) you get it laying down properly it's highly likely to peel under the heat of the sun because of a lack adhesive. You've all seen those cars going around with bad tint. HOWEVER! on to the BLACKGLASS TINTING FILM. This stuff is high quality tinting film. The most premium I've tried. You won't regret paying a bit more for this, it's far easier to work with and to achieve the look you want. It cuts very well (use a sharp blade! The film is quite thick compared to cheaper stuff. I replaced my blade halfway through the job to ensure I was always cutting efficiently). It lays down very well and the backing is easily peeled. Make sure and clean your windows well (and I mean, really, very well. Especially around seams, to get rid of all the dirt.) Any micro particles can show under the film for an undesirable look. Use lots of soapy water for laying the film once you take the backing off. Spray the exposed adhesive side and the window before laying it down. Remember - you cannot use too much soapy water, keep it wet until you're ready to commit to laying it down and squeegee the film. It's going to be a bit messy. Don't worry about the mess of soapy water. Cleaning up after isn't so bad. There is enough film to tint the rear windscreen and rear passenger window panels (vauxhall insignia) and that's with me redoing the rear windscreen (rear windscreen is massive so did it in two halves vertically, decided to change and do it in two halves horizontally instead as I hid the splice under a defrosting line, worked well) and one back window (forgot to shrink). So you have some excess to cover your mistakes. But not much - so take care. The film shrinks really well with a heat gun. I found that I had to heat shrink the film on all window panels as they all have curve to them. But your experience may differ depending on car make and model. I went for the 5% limo tint for maximum effect as we have a 7 month old. The sun was shining in and causing him discomfort on longer drives, even with sun visor fitted to the window. Tinting the windows was definitely a good decision, not only does it drastically reduce sun glare (5% limo does anyway), it also blocks majority of harmful UV rays and reduces the overall heat in the vehicle. Good for summer. Overall I am completely happy with this product and would happily buy again from BLACKGLASS. The result I was able to achieve was worth spending double of what I normally would on tinting film. Check photos for an example of my results. Perfect all round.

Never tinted windows before so watched some videos, on YouTube and those that are linked in the product instructions, read the instructions before starting. The job isn’t perfect but that’s down to my faults. The product is great, easy to work with and was exactly as described. I would purchase this again.

Tried using this on Renault Master van. Started with the smaller, back window...after 3 attempts with heat gun, trying the instructions to the letter (even though I'm a mechanic and have tinted many windows in my time) it would not shrink to fit the window. Still 'fingers' all around...bottom kept peeling up...creased too easily...wasted 2 days when we could have done so much more on our camper conversion. Waste of money and even bigger waste of time, which we have little of. Very annoyed

Re-Edited: Ordered the 5% for a lexan window in my van, great product, easy to apply. I have ordered the 75% for the front. I have installed the 5% at the back without any issue, but the 75% unfortunately its very hard as a film and doesn't shrink with the hot gun bit it's becoming more rigid and doesn't stick at all. After 3 weeks unfortunately started to come off in the corners and won't stick again. Used on car glasses and lexan sheet from both is coming out now

Für mich also perfekt! *Thumbs_up*

Decent quality film for the price, I’m certainly no professional window tinter but with the a tint install kit and a couple YouTube videos I got it fairly dialed in. If you can figure it out you can save hundreds on having it done at a shop.
